Not sure that Yuengling & Pottsville, Pa would be high on my “Beercation” list but I guess you could plan a PA/DE road trip and hit DFH, Yuengling, and some the the Philly area breweries over a couple of days for a nice trip.

Also I was surprised that Colorado got snubbed. So many great brewers in beautiful country.

I agree Wookie, I don’t know how they can just pick 10 individual breweries. I think the destinations would be better by region or city. So many craft breweries with more and more popping up, and they all have their own stories and unique qualities – just like visiting wineries. Never been to Yuengling but it’s on our beer bucket list – I’m sure the appeal has to do with their history with prohibition and being the oldest US brewery, and also the caves and ghosts make it interesting too.

The winery analogy is a good one. You can hit a region, visit a couple breweries and make a nice trip out of it.

But if the day comes when they start referring to the Delaware Valley as beer country and they are doing senior citizen bus trips between DFH and Yuengling … please kill me!
